Our season kicks-off with an individual evaluation of each player

Technical and technology tests, mental and physical assessment, equipment fitting… This analysis, together with the planning of the player’s competition schedule, serves as the road map for the student during the program

Every week our players work with our coaches and experts

To develop sounded knowledge of swing mechanics, a broad variety of on-course and practice training is planned to structure the daily training of each student. The facts allow UGPM coaching team to measure improvement and making adjustments based on evidences with focus on long term development

Physical work-out and mental sessions complete the weekly agenda

At UGPM, the workout sessions aim to optimize golf performance in terms of mobility and strength.
Whereas the mental program teaches students the ability to regulate emotions and course management decisions under any pressure

Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf Academy

It is the golf school founded by Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2013 that has a series of unbeatable facilities for the development of training of any golf player.

Parador de Málaga Golf Club

27-hole course, with practice areas, putting green and 3 pairs course. It is the base course of the program where the weekly practice rounds and competitions take place.

Golf Courses

Our program visit some of best courses in Malaga (the province has more than 50 courses) for our training rounds and internal competitions

Technology

At UGPM we have the best golf technology available. Among our resources we highlight our TRACKMAN 4 and our proprietary golf statistics system, which includes parameters as advanced as the Strokes Gained Putting

MIGUEL ÁNGEL JIMÉNEZ GOLF ACADEMY

Miguel Angel Jiménez Golf Academy is characterised by having one of the best facilities in Andalusia.
Is the training center where our players receive their technical classes.

Its facilities include:

  • Training facilities with bermuda grass
  • Driving range, practice chipping and bunker areas and putting green
  • 9 hole Par 3 course designed by Miguel Ángel Jiménez

GOLF COURSES WHERE WE PLAY

Our program includes weekly visits to Parador de Málaga Golf Club, Lauro Golf, Mijas Golf and El Paraiso Golf for internal leagues and training rounds.

TECHNOLOGY

Trackman
The Trackman 4 is the best launch radar on the market right now. It has two built-in radar systems (one for impact and one for ball flight). It records metrics such as trajectory, face angle, head speed, ball speed, etc. Without a doubt, a differential element for training and performance our players.
Statistics
Our approach to golf is rigorous and professional, probably as a result of our university background. Our statistics tool developed fully in-house is probably the ultimate exponent of our understanding of golf #numbersdon’tlie

ONE OF THE STRONGEST PILLARS IN OUR PROGRAM IS OUR COMPETITION SCHEDULE WITH THE UGPM TOUR WAGR EVENTS

Our tournament schedule

The tournament schedule Includes qualifying for own and external WAGR ™ events, federation tournaments and team competitions against other university teams. In addition, the team participates in university championships (Spanish University Golf Championship, European University Golf Championship and R&A Student Tour series).

UGPM Tour WAGR ™

The UGPM Tour WAGR ™ is a circuit of 6 own events valid for the world ranking and open to external players with the aim that players have access to the most complete and accurate classification of amateur golf.
In addition, UGPM conducts an internal league during the course to maintain the competitive rhythm of the team.
