UGPM is proudly supported by The R&A of St. Andrews

The R&A is the ruling authority of golf throughout the world (except for the United States of America) and supports our institution as part of its actions to develop college golf in Europe

We have been the first college golf program outside the UK to be included within its Golf Development Program in which a total of 17 universities participate.

HISTORY

IN THE SPACE OF SEVEN YEARS, UGPM HAS BEEN CONSOLIDATED AS THE BEST INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY GOLF PROGRAM IN EUROPE

IN 2014

UGPM started with a national college squad formed by 4 student golfers. In its second year, the squad was composed by 10 players and included its firsts international players

In 2016

UGPM embarked on the creation of two new academic programs: the Gap year in Spanish and the Master in Golf Management, consolidating its academic offer for international student-golfers

In 2018

The first blended program will be launched in collaboration with Arizona State University and its Global Freshman Academy. This is a milestone for UGPM and our commitment to develop innovative trends in education

In 2020

UGPM continues expanding academically and consolidate itself as an international program, having hosted more than 70 players from 20 different nationalities and continues receiving the support of the Student Golf scholarship program of The R&A of St. Andrews.

In 2022

Receiving players from the Middle East and Africa for the first time, the group of players in the GAP program is diversified and the UGPM team is getting stronger.

Two Spanish players have already joined the team thanks to the UGPM scholarship program. We are proud to announce that it will continue next year.
