Last Saturday, we officially started with the tournament season of our UGPM 2018/2019 calendar.
The first Internal League of this season has been played at Lauro Golf, a field located in Alhaurín de la Torre, that has a 27-hole course, which has been presented to us in the best conditions for the development of the game.
Accompanied by an ideal climate throughout the day and with the presence of 32 players in the field we started our season with a Stableford tournament of 18 holes where the first place was taken by Esperanza Serrano, with a total score of 73 shots (+1) leaving a shared second position for Víctor Pastor and Jack Sutherland with 74 shots.
A strategic field where the failures punish hard the scoring and the mind of the players, reason why our psychologist Rocío Pomares has been observing one by one the players in action, analyzing their attitudes to the circumstances, routines (pre and post shot) and reactions. Throughout the season Rocío will work individually with each student, giving him the necessary tools to grow as golf players.
The next event in the 2018-19 competition calendar will be the ¨Puntuable Championship of Cadiz in Sherry Golf“.
