ABOUT UGP
WE ARE THE LEADING PROGRAM FOR COMBINING HIGHER EDUCATION AND HIGH-LEVEL GOLF IN EUROPE
Founded in 2014, with a pioneering program for high performance university players, UGP has since grown to become a reference in Europe
Today UGP offers young golfers the opportunity to work with a top-level technical team. In addition, we have state-of-the-art facilities and technology that, together with our climate in Spain, make UGP a unique environment
UGP IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY THE R&A OF ST. ANDREWS
The R&A has long supported college and student golf, helping players develop while at university. In 2015, UGP was the first university golf program, outside the United Kingdom to be included in its Golf Development Program in which a total of 17 universities participate. Since then, more than 30 students have received scholarships along with direct support for the program
Since 2019, UGP has signed up and committed to the Women in Golf Charter to promote the career in golf of female players and women in all aspects of the golf industry
HISTORY
SINCE 2014, UGP HAS CONOLIDATED AS A REFERENCE TOP UNIVERSITY GOLF PROGRAM IN EUROPE
2014-2015
UGP started with a national college squad formed by 4 student golfers studying at the University of Malaga. In its second season 2015-2016, the squad was composed by 10 players from different nationalities

Receiving players from the Middle East and Africa for the first time, the GAP program is consolidated as a reference within the UGP team
The UGP Scholarship Program 2022-2026 is launched and two Spanish college players joined the team that season

The UGP Scholarship Program adds two more students this season
